The Dog Stars

Robin and her Dog Stars, Starlight and Slater, are coming! Watch the pooches perform stunts, and ask questions of Robin, an experienced dog trainer! The Story Bus is Coming!

3:30 - 5:30 p.m.
Thanks to generous Bellwood resident Tony Bell, we are offering a trip through the “Story Bus”. Children ages 3-7 will hear a story and tour this interactive children’s museum! Story Bus was created to supply much needed literacy experiences for preschool and primary-age children, and it’s fun! We will take the children and parents through in groups, starting at 3:30. Kids Summer Reading ProgramKids! Come to the Kickoff Saturday, June 9 between 11 at 3 to get all you need to participate in Summer Reading, some extra goodies, and a naked cupcake! That’s right! You get to choose a special design for your cupcake, then we will show you how to decorate it!

Teen Summer Reading ProgramTeens! Drop in between 11 and 3 on Saturday June 8 to register for a TON of FUN (like Best Pizza in Town Tasting!).


Parents of Babies! Registration for "Learning Is So Delightful!" will be on Saturday, June 16 from 9:30a.m. - 3:00p.m. You will receive a booklet of reading ideas and early literacy activities. Each time a goal is met, parents will receive a prize and be entered in drawings for more prizes. Of course, your baby is the real winner!

Great Grilling and BBQ
Saturday, June 23 at 1:30 pm
Please join Andrew Comens, Chicago Chef and Restaurant Reviewer, for a grilling and barbeque cooking demonstration. He will prepare Spicy Thai Beef, Citrus Marinated Shrimp, and Teriyaki Chicken from start to finish, using a table top indoor grill. Healthy Eating and Fun

It's against the law to put electronics in the regular trash, so take advantage of this free event! All your old computer junk, that broken CD player, the phone you've replaced—bring it to the Library on April 13!  Unitec Recycling Corp will have a truck in our parking lot from 9:30 to 1:00 to collect it.
